Dove Cottage Day Hospice

Dove Cottage has two hospices – one in Stathern, Leicestershire, and one in Ridlington, Rutland. We offer high quality palliative day care to people in NE Leicestershire, Rutland and SE Nottinghamshire who are living with a life-limiting illness, such as cancer or motor neurone disease.

Guests usually come to us for one day each week, and we do our very best to make our hospices a home away from home. Both of our hospices are set in beautiful countryside with lovely lounges, dining rooms, and places where our guests can enjoy games, crafts and wellbeing activities.

Dove has skilled nurses, chaplaincy support, complementary therapies and beauty treatments for those in our local communities who have palliative care needs; we pride ourselves on providing specialised care and support.

We also offer help to families and carers, such as bereavement support and a Family Support Group (carers’ lunches), as well as regular groups for those living with dementia.

In partnership with Printer Cartridge Recycling a leading recycling company, we have developed a scheme to turn your empty inkjet cartridges, mobile phones and unused surplus into valuable funds to help continue our work.

1. Click the button to donate at the bottom of this page and you will be taken to the main site. By clicking the button, you do not need to register or create a login. The site now knows which charity you have chosen and will use their account details.
2. Using our search feature – find your cartridges and add them to the basket with the quantities that you have. If you have mobile phones or surplus unused cartridges these can still be sent in but do not need to be listed in the basket.
3. Once, your basket has all your items in, click Finish – you will need to enter your details and we will arrange with you a FREE collection or FREE courier service. This will depend on where you are located, or the weight of the items once packaged.
